We invite you to take part in this 2-day event that includes networking opportunities and educational sessions on a variety of topics including behavioral health and medications, incentives and sanctions, equity, inclusion, implicit bias, monitoring and evaluation, resources available to clients, cannabis use, best practices, treatment team roles, and more.

The event is being hosted by Friends of NH Drug Courts, JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., and NH Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors Association.

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

September 20 & 21 | 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM

This virtual symposium, held over two days examines pathways and perspectives regarding stimulant and polysubstance use and recovery.

There is no cost to attend!

 

Topics will include:

  • Polysubstance Use and Harm Reduction: Effective Strategies & Techniques
  • Neurobiology and Medical Impact of Stimulant Use
  • Alcohol and Polysubstance Use
  • TRUST: An Integrated Behavior Model for Treatment of Stimulant Use

Project ECHO® (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) Chronic Pain Self-Management

Project ECHO® (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is an evidence-based method developed by researchers at the University of New Mexico. During teleECHO™ sessions, expert mentors share their expertise across a virtual network via case-based learning.

The program will enable participants:  

To increase knowledge of....

  • Low-risk pain management strategies
  • Self-management methods
  • Formal self-management programs
  • Tools that you can utilize to best serve your patients/clients
  • Supports outside of your practice/organization

To increase confidence in....

  • Developing improved patient-provider relationships
  • Having difficult conversations with individuals living with chronic pain
  • Engaging patients/clients with self-management strategies
  • Supporting sustained motivation

We invite anyone who works with individuals with chronic pain to attend. This includes Interdisciplinary Health Care Teams, Community Supports and Advocates, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Recovery Organizations, Addiction Specialists, and more!

 

Sessions will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 12pm-1pm EST starting in September 2021. Specific dates are listed below. Participation is remote using Zoom video conference software. 

 

Session 1: September 14th, 2021 

Session 2: October 12th, 2021 

Session 3: November 9th, 2021 

Session 4: January 11th, 2022

Session 5: February 8th, 2022 

Session 6: March 8th, 2022
