About the Presenter:

Jacob Stone, formerly on the faculty at the Marywood University School of Social Work in Pennsylvania and the social work program of the University of Alaska (Fairbanks), is retired after a half-century of practice as a direct service provider, nonprofit executive, consultant, field instructor, and teacher and trainer. He served for many years as chair of the ethics committee of NASW-PA, and during the past twenty years he has focused his work and study on professional ethics, providing training and consultation on ethics through NASW and diverse other settings. Jacob moved from Pennsylvania to Vermont six years ago, and in retirement has continued to provide training and ethics round table discussions through NASW-VT.

Daring Greatly™ is a highly experiential program based on Dr. Brené Brown’s research. We create a small, safe holding environment to examine, practice and apply the concepts of Values, Trust, Vulnerability, Courage, Shame, Empathy, Self Compassion, and Authenticity to our personal and professional lives. As Helping Professionals we are in a unique position to integrate, model and teach these concepts. Experiencing and learning the theories at a deep level makes this work even more accessible in our sessions with clients.

An Online, Interactive Program for Therapists and Helping Professionals
(limited to 8 participants)
$285 includes: Daring Greatly™ workbook and 8 CE hours approved by NASW for LCSWs, LMSWs, LMFTs, LPCs and Licensed Psychologists
